COVID-19 arrived just as we were striving to bring you more enriching, life-changing & unforgettable Peru travel options. CULTURA VIVA PERU´s team is launching a tourism project with a new approach to travel: THE LEARNING APPROACH. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we think our efforts are even more valid. We believe it is time for everybody to review how we have been impacting the world we live in, at home and far away. Once this global crisis comes to pass, we must move towards more conscious ways of living. As travellers, we will have to ask ourselves more about our travel motivations. We must begin to travel more consciously and with tours that matter!
CULTURA VIVA PERUchay unites tour guides and travel agents who are aware of the power of travel to transform. Travel shifts our perspectives of the world and of ourselves. After many years in the tourism field, we have developed relationships with many remarkable local characters, artists and cultural custodians. They are men and women of all walks of life, but all of them are resilient keepers of our ancestral traditions.
The wisdom and the natural, appreciative way of living in the Andes, is so powerful that we feel compelled to dedicate all of our efforts towards building bridges for you to meet and to learn from one another. Our tours are opportunities to serve, to connect, to experience, to learn together and to transform together. The LEARNING APPROACH is a new and more powerful way to embark on a Peru travel experience.

Why
*CHA-Y: Our native Quechua language transmits kindness and love when spoken. CHA is a word that we use to accentuate the love we have for a particular person or object. When we add a “Y” as in “CHAY” we are also emphasizing that this beloved object/subject belong to us. For example, if you are in love; your sweetheart is your “sonqochay” which means “my little heart”. At Cultura Viva, we are profoundly connected to our cultural heritage and we belong to our Andean roots. This is the reason for PERUchay.
